Fundatia Concept
anunta, din partea Consiliului National pentru Educatie Economica (NCEE), editia
2001 - 2002 a programului Training of Trainers. Programul consta in pregatirea a
unui numar de pana la 110 profesori formatori din Europa Centrala si de Est,
Statele Baltice, fosta Uniune Sovietica si Asia Centrala si este alcatuit din
doua serii de patru seminarii, cu durata de o saptamana fiecare. Engleza si rusa
sunt limbile oficiale ale acestui program. NCEE urmareste sa pregateasca
profesori din scoli, universitati si organizatii neguvernamentale, care isi pot
lua angajamentul si dispun si de resurse materiale pentru a organiza la randul
lor, dupa terminarea cursului, programe de formare in educatia economica. Sunt
incurajate, in particular, solicitarile din partea angajatilor institutiilor in
vederea reatestarii profesorilor si organizatiilor neguvernamentale care
instruiesc profesorii in domeniul economic.
Cazarea si masa (pe durata seminariilor) si transportul sunt asigurate de NCEE. De asemenea, fiecare participant va beneficia de un onorariu la sfarsitul fiecarui seminar. Evenimentul este sprijinit de Departamentul de Educatie al Statelor Unite - Biroul pentru Cercetari in domeniul Educatiei, fiind realizat in cooperare cu Departamentul de Stat al Statelor Unite. Cursurile sunt deschise elevilor din clasele IX-XI care activeaza la publicatiile scolare sau in alte forme de media si vor fi sustinute de instructori din SUA si Romania. Pe durata a zece zile, cursantii vor fi initiati in tehnicile de baza ale jurnalismului, in etica jurnalistica, management de presa. In plus, participantii vor vizita redactii profesioniste, se vor intalni cu jurnalisti de renume si vor face si o excursie de studii. Cursul se va materializa prin editarea unei publicatii, concepute si realizate in intregime de elevi. Predarea se va face in limba engleza, deci participarea la program va fi conditionata de buna cunoastere a acestei limbi. Vor fi admisi candidatii din Cluj sau cei care isi pot asigura pe cont propriu transportul si cazarea in acest oras. Dosarul de inscriere trebuie sa cuprinda: un CV, doua articole (de preferinta publicate / difuzate), care sa nu depaseasca o pagina, o scrisoare de intentie, prin care candidatul sa-si justifice dorinta de a participa la acest program si sa-si exprime opiniile asupra presei pentru adolescenti. Candidatii selectati in urma evaluarii dosarelor de inscriere vor sustine un interviu telefonic pentru testarea cunostintelor de limba engleza. UNITED NATIONS UNIVERSITY FELLOWSHIPS
The Institute of Advanced Studies of the United Nations University (UNU/IAS) is a multi-thematic, interdisciplinary, research and training centre located in Tokyo, Japan. Its programmes are directed at pressing global issues of concern to the United Nations, making use of advanced research methodologies. Postdoctoral and PhD Fellowships are offered for a period of ten months. The School for International Training (SIT), the accredited college of
World Learning, is pleased to announced the Bradley/Gamble Fellow Program, a
scholarship specifically for individuals from countries in transition who are
involved in and plan to continue work in population studies, family
planning, or population-related health and nutrition work, and who would benefit from an education that would enhance their skills in the management of non-governmental organizations. Applicants can also be from an academic setting or a health related program and wish to continue their research and advancement in this area. This is a competitive scholarship and individuals should have solid professional experience and an excellent academic record. The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars announces the opening of its 2002-2003 Fellowship competition. The application deadline is October 1, 2001. The Center annually awards academic-year residential fellowships to individuals in the social sciences and humanities with outstanding project proposals on national and/or international issues--topics that intersect with questions of public policy or provide the historical framework to illumine policy issues of contemporary importance. Fellows are provided with a stipend (includes a round-trip transportation allowance) and with part-time research assistance. They work from private offices at the Woodrow Wilson International Center in Washington, DC. 1. Human Resource
Management Skills (2 weeks) - designed for staff who are employed in Human
Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or Personnel that have seen
their role change from a functional central role to one of internal consultant
and support. Course aims to assist participants whose HR function is going
through a process of change to meet the commercial pressures which are affecting
may public and private sector organizations. By the end of the course

aims to provide participants with those skills essential for project cycle
management, concentrating specifically on project and programme preparation,
appraisal, implementation planning, management information systems and
evaluation. The course will help participants gain support from a range of
funding bodies, including development agencies and banks providing grants or
loans. Examples are taken from some major international funding institutions to
show how they manage the project cycle and to describe and explain their
expectations with regard to project preparation and evaluation. By the end of
the course participants will be able to apply their newly gained skills and
supporting knowledge to understand and manage the overall project cycle, to
prepare international standard project proposals to gain financial support, to
build stronger relationships with funding agencies and contractors, to plan
project implementation and assess and manage project risks and sustainability
throughout the life of the project, to manage the monitoring and evaluation of
projects to determine progress and impact. Course Dates: 25 June - 6 July; 17-28

Cariera trebuie privita
si pe termen scurt. In fiecare zi poti ramane fara "job", chiar in
conditiile in care firma iti apartine. Atunci, te gandesti ca nu poti rata nici
o oportunitate pe baza sigurantei oferite de locul de munca actual. Cei care
gandesc asa se trezesc zilnic spunandu-si ca nu au un loc de munca. E un
sentiment neplacut, dar mobilizator. Fiecare dintre noi ar trebui sa simta la
fel. Sa te trezesti in fiecare dimineata cu sentimentul ca nu esti angajat - asa
iti poti aprecia locul de munca actual - si sa te gandesti serios la urmatorul
pas. Este bine sa ai un "Plan B". Nu se stie niciodata...
C. Informatii - TOEFL Test
The TOEFL is a must for
admission to any undergraduate and graduate programs in the US for applicants
whose mother tongue is other than English. Since July 1998 the test is administered on
computer. For more information on the computer based TOEFL test, please visit www.toefl.org/cbabttfl.html
The test fee is
currently $100.
In Bucharest, the test
can be taken Monday through Thursday and on the second Saturday of the month.
The computer center is housed by the AYASH Center, 1-11 Economu Cezarescu St.,
apart. 1, near Grozavesti underground station. The TOEFL test is administered in Bucharest and
Iasi round the year and in Cluj during mobile test sessions.
In order to register
for the test you need to pick up the registration bulletin from the Fulbright
Commission in Bucharest, public hours: Monday through Thursday, 10.30-12.30 and
14.30-16.30. If you live outside Bucharest you can send the Commission a
self-addressed stamped envelope with a note in which you mention the
registration bulletin you need. The bulletin will be mailed to you promptly.
